Reckless (Trait). At the start of its turn, the steep can gain advantage on all melee weapon attack rolls it makes during that turn, but attack rolls against it have advantage until the start of its next turn.

Bite (Action). Melee Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 11 (1d8 + 2) kinetic damage, and the target is grappled (escape DC 13). Until this grapple ends, the target is restrained, and the steep can't bite another target.
